About Mack Weldon
Mack Weldon is reinventing men’s basics. We believe that men’s underwear, undershirts, t-shirts and socks need a serious upgrade, and we’re delivering it. Customer comments such as “MackWeldon is the iPhone of underwear” make us think we’re on to something.
We launched in mid-2012 and have been gathering loyal followers. Our small team is led by digital and apparel pros with a track record of success. We are backed by a highly motivated group of professional and strategic investors.
Our developer needs to work closely with the marketing team to bring concepts to reality in a rapidly changing environment. He/she should creatively address projects to build the best solution, taking into account customer experience as well as business objectives. Direct experience working with Spree Commerce is a major plus.
About the Role
Are you more than a web developer? We're looking for a dynamic individual who knows their way around Rails, from the DB to the browser, from whiteboard to reality. We value experience building products and a keen desire to solve problems.
We’re a lean team so you need to be hands-on. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in e-commerce development, ideally with strong exposure to mobile and tablet technology as well. Responsibilities and additional experience include:
- Help scale our architecture and improve site performance
- Work with marketing and product teams to define new features, build new buy path flows, landing pages, navigation and e-commerce functionality
- Partner with design team to execute high quality user experience and brand identity
- Ability to manage 3rd party vendors (potentially offshore developers, email technology, warehouse fulfillment software, QA resources, etc.)
- Comfortable in a small, nimble, startup environment
The position will be based in our Midtown Manhattan (New York, NY) office.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and will include salary, bonus and equity.
